WILW {What I'm LOVING Wednesday}

1} Family Sunday Funday

This past Sunday we went out to our family farm to collect some {OLD} barn wood. I plan to use the barn wood around the house for decorations . . . maybe a headboard, a coffee table, a shelf or all 3 . . . I haven't quite decided yet.

It was such a fun and relaxing time for our family. My son {LOVED} walking around the farm and riding on the 4-wheeler.

2} Naked Trees

If you do not follow me on Twitter then you probably do not know about my {LOVE} for naked trees! I just think that they are so beautiful, especially when they are standing alone. They are serene, but at the same time moody.

I spotted this one at the farm this weekend . . .

3} Making Valentine Cards

I was so excited when I got a note from The Little Linz's daycare that they need to bring in Valentine Cards for their classmates and a box to collect them in. Like any good mom, I immediately went to Pinterest looking for {INSPIRATION}  ; ) After, my inspiring Pinterest trek this is what I came up with . . .

Supplies:
  • Crayons
  • Silicone heart shaped molds
  • Foam Hearts
  • Small Doily Tags
  • Twine
  • Hole Punch
  • Tape
  • Felt Tip Marker

  1. Melt crayons for about 4 minutes in microwave until melted but not blended.
  2. Pour melted crayons into heart shape molds.
  3. Let the crayons harden and remove from molds.
  4. Place doily in the center of the heart and mark where you need to punch the holes to run the twine through.
  5. Use hole punch to punch out 4 holes.
  6. Tape crayon onto doily and place doily back onto the foam heart.
  7. String twine through holes and over heart shaped crayon.
  8. Use felt tip pen to write "You Color my World" and sign your child's name.

All done! I hope his friends {LOVE} them!
