Okay, I've been seriously slacking on the blog lately . . . I have a confession . . . I've been in a funk for the past several weeks & I didn't feel like I could come up with things that I was {LOVING}. How ridiculous is that? We should {LOVE} everyday that we are alive and cherish the things in our life! However, yesterday I may have found a connection with the funk that I am in & DON'T JUDGE because it is a strange connection . . . about 3 weeks ago I started, from the beginning, watching the TV series Lost. I've been enthralled with the show, one night I watched 10 episodes and stayed up till 5:00 in the morning . . . that's not normal!?! I think it might be affecting me . . . I've been on a Lost binge & binging is bad for your health!
1} Vacations
I am so excited for my summer vacations that we have scheduled. We just got back from a kid-free weekend in Chicago on Sunday. Later this month we will be leaving for a multiple family vacation in Dauphin Island, AL and then at the end of July we will be going to Breckenridge, CO with family. I {LOVE} taking The Little Linz on vacations, I know that he will not remember them, but I {LOVE} spending time with him and exploring new things.
While in Chicago this past weekend, my Nikon did not even come out of the bag . . . I really tried to focus on NOT working. I did take a few shoots with my cell phone and posted them to instagram
We took the train for the 1st time, we've always drove before, but the plan was to not have to worry about anything, especially traffic, directions & parking. Union Station in Chicago reminded me of the station to Hogwartz, ha . . . NERD ALERT!
Overall, we had a wonderful extended weekend with good food, good times, good friends and one crazy late night!
Our recent trip to Chicago was the longest trip that we had taken without Chandler and I sure did miss him! He was napping when we came home and we had to wake him (which I hate doing) because he had missed his nap time and was sleeping extra late. Bad idea!! He was so mad when he saw Daddy & I . . . he was crying and reached for his Gee Gee (who had watched him while we were gone). Broke my heart, but I knew that he'd get over it.
Later on, after Gee Gee left, Chandler & I got some alone time by taking a walk to the playground. While on our walk he was picking flowers for me. He is so sweet. Time away from your child really revitalizes your gratefulness for them!
Chandler is so funny, he has the greatest personality. He is speaking soo soo much now & talking in sentences. On Sunday, he was playing with his monster trucks and one of them ran into my leg and he said, "I got you Mommy" . . . when did this happen, when did my baby start speaking so well?
3} Instagram
Can't you tell? All of the photos in this post were taken on my Evo & posted to Instagram. I {LOVE} it!! Search for me, @CLinzPhoto, and follow-me! I post quite a few photos to Twitter & Facebook, but not all of them . . . I don't want to annoy my tweeps & FB friends, ha.
